Light Work
Layers of light and shadow weave through the scenery in what is one of my favorite woodland photos I've created. The soft glow of the sun breaks through the treeline, inviting the viewer, but the path remains shrouded in mystery. Inspired by David Lowery's brilliant film, The Green Knight, this dream-like photograph invites you on an ethereal journey through a mystical forest. Captured on a humid, foggy morning at Mount Mitchell State Park, the mood and atmosphere is represented well in the final edit.
This photo was fully produced in the mountains of Western North Carolina, having been printed by us in the Show And Tale studio, and framed at Frugal Framer in the heart of Downtown Asheville. I hope you enjoy this photo, and I thank you for your support and patronage.

Paper
Printed on Red River Aurora Art White 285, this 100% cotton rag paper features a brighter white shade for crisp color tones, a semi-smooth surface, and an acid-free base stock and coating. Aurora is 100% fiber made from cotton linters. These linters are considered "recovered fibers" by the EPA. By using linters, Aurora production is using what would have become waste. It's a win for the environment and a win for you!
